FACEFORWARD participatory performance art

Portraits of the busts of three women with bare sholders are in a hosisontal line. The woman wear back disposbable facemasks over their mouths and eyes and black overear headphones. They are set against a glitch graphic that conotes a digital screan error.

A still image of a black woman's head, obscured by a sheet of ice layered with a mound of sand on top. The only part of her visible is her mouth and nose, where her breath has melted the ice away. Her mouth is open, showing an expression that could be of pain or of joy.
